Annual Sister's of the Sea event!

One of our favorite events is right around the corner and we can barely contain our excitement! The 21st annual Sisters of the Sea Surf Classic will be held on September 14, 2019 at its usual spot, the Jacksonville Beach Pier, and we at Eidon, could not be happier to return as its title sponsor!

This contest is a true celebration of women’s surfing that has continued to beautifully flourish over the course of 20 years. Over its lifespan, the competition has seen thousands of girls and women of all ages and skill levels compete for top prizes and bragging rights, with some using it as a platform to launch their professional surfing careers. This year’s instalment will see the return of the fourteen divisions from previous years along with the newly added Beaches Go Green Pro-Am Shortboard Division which boasts a respectable $2,500 prize purse.

Festivities will kick off with a pre-contest shindig and art exhibition at Surfer [The Bar] on Thursday, September 12th. Between the hours of 6:30 - 8:30pm, spectators will have the opportunity to view and purchase surf-inspired art pieces from up and coming female creatives including our very own #EidonAdventurer Darby Moore, along with our campaign model Hailey Nolin.

On the big day, attendees can expect a jam-packed day of activities including beach games, tons of freebies and the returning crowd favorite beachside raffle! This tent is always a hot spot as it’s chock-full of swagalicious goodies from all of the sponsors (including four shiny new surfboards) up for grabs with all proceeds going to local breast cancer charities, Bosom Buddies and In The Pink.

With less than a week to go, available spots are numbered for would-be competitors, but space will be unlimited for fans, well-wishers and believers of surf girl power. So, save the date and be sure to walk with plenty of sunscreen and of course, good vibes!
